How do you turn off automatic checking for program updates?

Randomly when I start Quicken, it checks for program updates. How do I turn off this behavior? Under Preferences there should be a way to shut off automatic program updates. If not, how about a registry value to turn off automatic program update checking?

Once off, I can check for updates manually.

For example, you may want to do a backup before updating the program.

    The only thing that I know of is to set the Windows UAC setting high enough so that you decide if the upgrade/update is done.  Quicken does not give the option to not check.
