How do I successfully install quicken deluxe on my pc in england/

in Errors and Troubleshooting (Quicken on the Web)
I purchased the software online.The seller sent me a download which partly work such that you download and attempt to run it and it tells you that you are attempting to run it without membership when it is meant to have already been authorised previously.When you attempt to download directly from quicken you cannot complete it because you are living outside of the united states.What is the solution to this.What makes the situation worse is the fact that I ordered a book on quicken which I have received.

    When bought directly from Quicken.com the it will automatically be authorized, but when buying from a retailer, the retailer should have provide an Activation Code.

    To enter that activation code you need to select:
    Help -> Enter Activation Code...

    When I raised the query with the seller he suggested that I downloaded it again and registered as a new user.However even if you are a new user on the registration screen it requests a state.If this is not applicable to you the process is brought to a halt and this appears to be essential

    The address in the registration screen is not used for anything. Fake it. Use any US address you like, e.g. the one listed at the very bottom of this webpage.
