AppleScript/Any-sort-of-automation support?

Options
Hello,

Apologies if that's the wrong category but I couldn't really find a suitable one...

I see some posts floating around the forum that seem to imply that Quicken has AppleScript support yet it really doesn't look like it from my end (Quicken appears greyed out when trying to add it to Script Editor's dictionaries).

Specifically what I'm trying to do is to implement a workaround for unsupported financial institutions based on sms transaction notifications. I already figured out how to get this data from the Messages app database and now I'm trying to figure out what's the cleanest/most correct way to get the data into Quicken.

It seems odd to me that the most veteran personal finance software wouldn't have any automation interface whatsoever while relative newcomers such as YNAB already have elaborate APIs to interact with their data.

Am I missing something?

    Thanks!
    I suspected as much...
I think for my specific use case it might be easier to simply generate an importable file though
