Balance discrepancy

    I purchased a "unit Investment Trust/Equity Trust" and the buy that was downloaded from my brokerage account follows through onto the portfolio screen for that account with a negative amount in the gain/loss column for the exact amount. This is deducting the amount from my total portfolio but I thought it should have been added. Please advise
