We have used quickbooks pro for years to operate personal plus 3 companies. Nearing retirement so downsizing dramatically. Can I access multiple versions of quicken- one for each company- from the same device and email account? Is the single email account going to complicate sign in.

    Hi @aycockjda,

You can setup virtually any number of Quicken datafiles with a single user account (which includes a single email address).  One datafile would be used for each company and then you can add datafiles for each individual (or a joint account) depending on your choice.  Bt you might want to use Quicken Hone & Business, because that gives you the full array of features -especially for the business datafiles.

The data is kept in a data file, not the program.  You can have as many data files as your disk drive can hold.  I'm guessing that in your case, you would have 4 data files, the personal data file and 3 company data files.
NOTE: there is no conversion process from Quickbooks and Quicken, you would be starting off fresh in each file.

    and finally:

Ideally, I would keep QuickBooks installed, for reference.

Then I would create 5 different Quicken Data Files.

    Examples:
    aycockjrda 2021
    Company 1 2021
    Company 2 2021
    Company 3 2021
    Company 4 2021

All Quicken Data Files, must be registered and use the same Quicken UserID and password for each Data File.
