American Express Savings

I have an American Express Savings account, but am unable to connect it to Quicken. Every attempt at accessing the AMEX Savings website results in an incorrect username/password error. Come to find out that Quicken is attempting to access AMEX Credit Card site, which is a different web address. Added the correct web address in the account profile on Quicken, but to no avail. Does anyone know any tricks/tips to get Quicken to access the AMEX Savings website?

You may have the wrong AmEx FI choice selected.
The fool proof way to get the correct FI is to download a Web Connect >QFX file from the FI's website, import that into Quicken (File->Import File->Web Connect) and connect it to the existing Quicken account (Link, don't Add).  That will tell Quicken exactly which FI is the correct one and once that is done, you can edit the account (Tools->Account List), select the Online Services tab and activate the One Step Update.

For my American Express Savings, the financial institution is American Express Bank FSB. Unfortunately, they only offer Express Web Connect.

According to the fidir.txt file which lists the FIs and what they support shows Web Connect:

    18858 18858 18858 American Express Bank FSB
    http://personalsavings.americanexpress.com/ 1-800-446-6307
    https://personalsavings.americanexpress.com/onlinebanking ACTIVE
    BANKING&WEB-CONNECT
    BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA

I'd look around their website some more.

I've attached my Amex Bank account using American Express Bank FSB and i get downloads when I do a one step update. I'm aware that the documentation at the site says it doesn't work, but I do so on a daily basis.
