Return on Investment--Year to Date

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭✭✭
I have 7 funds that were bought in December 2020. The Market value on 12/31/20 was $79,499. The market value close on Friday, 1/15/20 was $81,664. My return on investment should be $2291/$79,499==.0288%

However, Quicken shows return on investment YTD as -.44%
This just doesn't make any sense to me.

    No transactions this year?

No Placeholders? Make sure they are not hidden by going to Edit > Preferences > Investment transactions and make sure Show hidden transactions is selected.

Have you sold some shares for this security in the past? Shouldn't the denominator be your investments rather than the market value?  Maybe you should run investment performance report or an IRR measure instead.

    No cash In the account?

How did you combine the securities? Group by account or selected securities?
