Backblaze Cloud or other online back up services - and encrypting files

Is anybody using backblaze as a back up system, and does it back up the quicken file as well?
I have read that if the quicken file is encrypted, and then the back up service encrypts it again, that it may become unreadable. Is that true?
Thank you
Pamela

    two Q&A -
Backblaze Cloud.... can't answer that one, first to hear about it
Encryption - comment does not seem correct, as any file is just a collection of bits and bytes, and can't really tell what it is from a backup point of view.
[EDIT] - also updated the topic title to better reflect the actual Q&A

Quicken for Mac is quite sensitive to where you keep your actual data files. So, for those, you should keep those in the default locations which is in your local user account.

Backups, however, are a different matter. They can be stored just about anywhere.

I am not familiar with Backblaze, so your mileage may vary. But, I know I have no concerns storing backups on other systems such as iCloud or DropBox. You just don't want your working data file on them-that is what causes the issues.
