How to not show reconciled items in the register?

After I reconcile my credit card, the reconciled items still show. How do I change so they no longer show in the register?

  There is a filter at the top of the register, change "All Transactions" to "Unreconciled".
  
  But you probably won't like the resulting running balance.

  P.S. there is an option to "gray out" reconciled transactions you might want to turn on if it isn't already on.
  Edit -> Preferences -> Register -> Gray reconciled transactions
