How do you make a monthly budget carry forward to each succeeding month?

    If you mean,

    • To carry forward unused budget to succeeding months, use the rollover function.  In annual view, click on the subcategory or category you wish to rollover.  Image.  Learn more about rollovers by doing a keyword search in Quicken in-app help.



    • To carry forward your January (or other month) budgeted figure to the rest of the year, in annual view, click on the category or subcategory, then click on the gear icon and select the appropriate copy option.  Image

    What @Scooterlam showed you for a single category can also be made to apply for all categories in your budget with a single click.
    To copy all budget values for all categories of a month forward and/or backward over the entire year click on the Month name in the budget column title. You will get a popup like this:
    So, if you want to copy February budget values click "February" or the black triangle next to it. Select your action from the popup and watch it populate your budget.
