"Date of check" and "Posting Date" in reconcilement

Several years ago I somehow added the Posting Date column to my bank reconcilement.  Since my check date and posting date are always the same, I want to eliminate the Posting Date column in my reconcilement.  Of course, I can't remember how I got that Posting Date on there in the first place.  Please help.  Thanks in advance.

    You didn't add it, Quicken did with one of changed features that users had asked for.

    I gather from your comments that there isn't anything I can do about eliminating one column, since they bother contain the exact same dates.
