using number pad on keyboard closes transaction

this happens if I'm attempting to add split categories on a transaction; when I use the number pad the transaction closes losing all the info I'd put in--payee, note... if I use the numeral keys above letters it works; this is on a Mac mini, USB old Win keyboard

    Thank you for reaching out to Quicken Community. I apologize you are having this issue. This nuisance seems rather odd. I would recommend making sure that your num lock is turned on. On the other hand, it could be a compatibility issue between a Mac computer and a non-Mac keyboard. If all else fails you could continue using the number keys above the letters.
