Update / download latest account balance only, without transactions detail

Is it possible to download just the latest investment account balance only, without the transaction detail (which can be voluminous)?

    Yes, see the new "Simple" investing mode. 

    First go to Edit > Preferences > Investment Transactions and check the Enable Simple Investing box
    Then click the gear at the top right of an account you want to convert to Simple, select Edit Account Details and select Simple under Tracking Mode.

    Note that once you have converted to Simple, converting back to Complete mode may be messy.
