Transfer

My auto drafts from my checking account are all imported as Tfr. When a transaction is a transfer it cannot be assigned to a category. So, I have to manually change these transactions to EFT. Is there another way to solve this issue?

    Most likely not.  What is the financial institution?  I notice that since USAA changed its security methods at the beginning of the year they have been sending all the transactions down with transactions down marked as transfers.  The only way out of it I see is if they are matching existing transactions.  I transitioning out of using USAA, but it worked for matching my wife's paychecks which are entered by a paycheck reminder.
