categories in graphs

Most of my categories have several levels of subcategories (ie Household:Utilities:oil). I am trying to create a graph that shows only the secondary category (Utilities) but not the third subcategory. Is there a way to do this?

That should be possible. It works, but for some reason the graph table isn't being filtered at all.
Note though when you select a parent category in the list it will select all the subcategories and you have to deselect them after you have selected the parent category.
