What I have found is that this error usually means you have Online Billpay set to "Yes" for an account that is not eligible for Billpay at your financial institution. Go to Account Details and check all of your accounts at Chase. If any accounts are not accounts you use billpay for, you need to change the appropriate billpay option to "No".

All is well, no more errors

Announcement says it's fixed, but not for me. Chase bank accounts not updating and pending payment and its cancellation not clearing.

Downloading now after deactivation and reactivation. Will have to see whether the transactions that were pending when the failure occurred will process or not, but there is light at t the end of the tunnel.
Be nice to hear an explanation....

This problem is not solved. After activating again with no errors I assumed it was fixed. However, yesterday I noticed that the interest wasn't downloaded to my Chase Checking or MM. I deactivated again, ran the update, and the interest $$$ downloaded into Quicken.
So the error message went away, but the functionality is still broken.

same problem but now with only one of my accounts. so frustrating.

It is still working for me. Did you verify the connection is set up as Direct Connect?
