Having trouble deleting an Chase Online payee

With Chase bank, I keep getting this error after attempting to delete an online payee that is no longer valid because the account number is obsolete. The Error message is " Bank one couldn't update or delete the payee Chase Card Services" Your financial institution rejected this transaction because your payee is not valid"

Does anyone have or see a solution?

    If you haven't already, select Tools > Online Payee List, the payee you want to delete, and press the Ctrl key and select Delete.
