1. Column for Payee would be more useful if said "Payee/Payor" so that Credits can be identified as where the credit comes from
2. Column for Check # would be more useful if it said "source" or something that would give the option of adding other payment methods such as Debit card, Venmo, Zelle, Wire, etc.

As for #2, enable the "Action" column. That field allows for ATM, DEBIT, etc., and you can add anything else you want.
From the Window menu, you can select Actions to see a list of the defaults. Add others as needed.0 -
You can already type anything you want into the Check # column, it's not restricted to check numbers.
