Quicken 2012 back up format is QDT File. Will newest Deluxe version I downloaded recognize?

Bought a new computer. My Windows 2012 Quicken backs up file in the QDT format on my thumb drive. Can I just insert the thumb drive into the new computer and open my last back up?

QDT?  Do you mean .qdf?  And Starting with the 2010 version they added "-backup" to the file extension, so .qdf-backup.
You should be able to open or restore a file from Q2012 in a newer version.

I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

It recognized the format, prompted me through a conversion and eventually re-opened with no missing data. Pretty seemless.
