I have used Quicken for 30 years. Now I am unable to do the downloads from Fidelity, Bank of America , and several other Financial Institutions. I have just renewed my 1 year subscription, even though my last Fidelity Download is dated 10/07/2022. I am at the verge of canceling Quicken..
From what I can see there is no solutions for this Major Problem.

    Hi Thomas
I am the one who started this link and after many hours of work I have been successful with 1 of my 10 fidelity accounts. In other words most accounts I have now deactivated and now reconcile manually. Others such as managed accounts I have stopped looking at in Quicken. Finally with one trading account I have ow been receiving recent downloads but there is still a gap of over 2 months with no information. Most other banks has a solution where you can go their websites and request a download from a start date to an end date in quicken format. However this alternative does not exist in Fidelity and Quicken does not seem to co-operate with Fidelity to implement this simple solution. Sad but true.

Started working again this morning. Go figure.

And not working this morning. Ugh!

As of this morning, January 4, 2023, Fidelity connection is still not working! Quicken????

I have been user since 1995 just canceled because of the download information is not showing cost and shows asset value same as cost. Also it gives cash balance same as asset Ballance on 401k. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE on my concerns. Why pay for something that does not give a clear picture of where I am at. Very disappointed in this. Time to move on!

I had a similar response from customer service. Obviously, Ana will only talk in vague, generalized, terms and will not provide details regarding the scope of development work, specification of objectives, known problems, and development timeframe. An earnest IT development project would have a plan in place. She should be able to provide more details. They've been working on the same issues with Schwab since Oct 2021. I don't think Quicken's business model prioritizes investment tracking and trading portfolios. The model priorities family planning, budgeting and retirement planning.

Ethan1991- you may be correct, but if so, it is very short-sighted on the part of Q (not a surprise). Investments, and investment tracking have become the mainstay of retirement planning IMHO. I cannot see how one can "plan for retirement" and NOT consider investment planning and tracking!!! Unless of course one wants to depend on a broken government that cannot get  ANYTHING right. But then Q is located in the socialist state of kalifornia, so who knows what drives their values or thinking.

My Fidelity accounts are a mess. My balances have not updated in 2 weeks. So I deleted the accounts to try to activate them as new accounts. Now I get nothing but errors and show zero balances. Paying Quicken for this service does seem ridiculous.

My Company changed our 401k to Fidelity NetBenefits from Jan 1, 2023.

I setup the accounts in Quicken without any issues.

Every time I connect, it says it is successful and there are no error. However it is not downloading anything.   There are centainly transactions to download.  Any idea how to resolve?

Major problem between Fidelity and Quicken: I need to start a new quicken file (my current file has more than 40 years of data, and has quirks that Quicken tech support explains is because of the large file. I have spent about 10 hours with Quicken tech support to find solutions… one of which is to start from scratch.). Quicken say it can download up to 2 years of Fidelity data, but actually only downloads 3 months of data. Called Fidelity to see if I could get 2 years of data. After several attempts, all of which failed, I was told to contact Quicken (Quicken had referred me to Fidelity in the first place.). Fidelity does not offer the ability to download data in a QFX file (or QIF) so it can go directly into Quicken. I would like Quicken and Fidelity to get together to allow QFX files, including more than 2 years worth of data, so Quicken accounts can be set up to reflect actual data in Fidelity. Is there someone who can get this concept going??

One quirky way to help Quicken behave better: Sign out of Quicken cloud, then sign back in. Seems like a waste of time, until you realize that Quicken no longer is stuck on whatever problem it was having. This has worked for me with my 40+ year data file. Unfortunately, I need to do this frequently. What is the matter with Quicken developers that they can’t fix this.

The Quicken developers don’t understand data migration 101. And don’t know how to design a data transformation process to migrate data from older to newer versions of Quicken. It shouldn’t matter how large our files are or how old our data is. The developers lack basic data management competency skills.

I just got off chat with support, and we tried several ways to import the CSV file that I converted to QFX from Fidelity Investments, but I keep getting this error about your bank no longer supports Web Connect. I don't see how that has anything to do with it since I have the data local to my machine.

I've used Quicken for so many years to manage my financial data but stopped using it a few years back since the subscription fee increased, and I saw a loss in functionality or broken features (e.g., RSUs). I thought I'd try it again, but issues persist like this. It should be a fundamental feature to upload a file into Quicken. I have thousands of transactions over the past few years, and there's no way I will hand-enter all of them, so I had to cancel my subscription.

Has anyone tried to join the BETA program to see if they will help improve these basic product features?

Yes, I do their Beta testing program, and if you have the available time and are so inclined, consider joining yourself! It's a great way to make sure new features are tested in a wide variety of environments. If you have a spare computer, or comfortable with running virtual machines, sign up and watch for announcements. Follow the directions provided and submit feedback about what works and what doesn't.

OK. On March 12, 2023 I once again relinked my 6 fidelity accounts to the service and this time it worked. Q updated every account for the recent transactions BUT THERE IS A HOE IN MY DATA FOR TRANSACTIONS THA ARE FURTHER BACK IN TIME. I went a head an updated them manually as I have read elsewhere tht there is no way to force a download wiht fidelity for specifice (older ) time periodss, My accounts are broker acounts, IRA;s and Roths. I also have 401k in Fidelity Net Benedfits that was also not working, but now it appears to be. Hope that this is the end of this saga!

I am unable to get the reconnect to work this is really annoying. It seems like once a month we have a different bank having a problem.

I haven't been able to connect and update with Fidelity for over a month now. When will this get resolved? The quality of Quicken seems to be going downhill about the time it was switched to a subscriptions service. First it was Schwab and now Fidelity.

Well according to this announcement, they believe it's resolved:

To test, I just created a new quicken file, added Fidelity and it downloaded the past 90 days into the 6 accounts. (windows 10, q 27.1.48.15)

If you're still having problems, I'd contact support and have them troubleshoot. Either your problem isn't the same problem, or it's not as fixed as they believe and they need more information about what's not working. quicken.com/support
