Real time quotes are not real time

I understand that Quicken real time quotes won't perfectly match quotes from my broker however they seem to lag significantly although I can't say by how much time.

    Often not even close for me. Some are still blank, even 25 - 30 minutes after open. And some stocks drag big time. For example, some news might come out a stock take off midday, and you'll see it in the broker's site. But it can be 15 - 30 minutes before the change in price direction shows up in Quicken. If it isn't actually real time, don't call it real time ;-)

    Their quote service is just plain strange.  I just noticed that I get different values if I use Update from the Portfolio view from what I get if I use One Setup Update.  And this is true no matter if "real time" quotes are on or not.
