Transactions entered in checking account disappear when saved.

We are sorry about this problem with disappearing transactions. Thank you for letting us know about this here on the Quicken Community.
First, do you mean that transactions are disappearing when you save a backup by navigating to File > Copy or Backup File… in the upper menu at the top of the screen, or when you click the Save button denoted by the ‘floppy disc’ icon in the Account Register? When did this issue begin? Also, is this issue affecting multiple accounts, associated with multiple financial institutions?

Make sure that the register is sorted by date and no filters are set.
Click on the Date column header to sort by date.
