How to sync older bank transaction when first syncing with a bank account

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭
I am just starting quicken and when first syncing bank accounts it is only acquiring that past 30 days or so. How do I get the sync to go back as far as the bank has transactions, which in many cases, depending on the bank, can be literally years.

What if the account doesn't support downloading QFX files any longer?

@merowe If it supports CSV or QIF downloads, you could use ImportQIF (free program from QuicknPerlWiz) that will convert your downloaded file(s) into QIF files that Quicken can import (File menu).

I use it and it does a great job.

This Q&A discussion usually comes up every year - right before taxes are to be filed….

Quicken can only download what the bank provides - no magic -
The bank itself determines what and how transactions may be downloaded…. and the date range made avail.
