Merge transactions and payees under one payee name

I have two payees, Department of Motor Vehicles and DMV. I would like to merge the Department of Motor Vehicles and its transactions with the payee DMV. So, I would have one payee (DMV) with all it’s transaction and the transactions of the Department of Motor Vehicles.

I have gone to the memorized payees list and tried the merge/rename tab but the popup window just shows renaming and when I tried it one payee disappeared and the transactions were not merged.

    The Memorized Payee List works going forward.

    You need to use EDIT, Find/Replace to make your change … but take a backup first
