Major category addition
Accounts are listed in two major categories: Banking and Property & Dept
There are sub-categories, Personal Spending, Savings, Credit, Asset and Liability
There are sub-sub-categories that users ADD as they will which are reflective of accounts of some kind, ie. banks, cash, credit card, financial institutions, etc.
I would like to add a major category, Deleted Accounts.
How can I do this, if it can be done at all?

You could just move them to the bottom of the section. You could add a Z in front of the name to know they are old accounts.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

You appear to be referring to the Account Bar - the list of Accounts to the left or right of the screen - so if you don't want to see these Accounts in the Account bar the simplest thing to do is to go to the Display Options tab of the Account Details screen and click on "Hide account name in account bar and account list." The Account will still be in your Quicken file with all its transactions and available to you, you just won't see it anywhere on the Account Bar.
