E Trade and Morgan Stanley Merger

Over labor day weekend, Morgan Stanley migrated ETrade accounts with new account numbers. but they are no longer downloading even if I change the account number to the new one. Can you help?

    I googled the error code and found an instruction to go into the account list, edit — online services - deactivate. Then reactivate.

    It's worked for three of my four accounts, and E*Trade has sent me to Quicken for help. On the phone with them now.

    I just changed the account numbers, did not deactivate or reset. And it seems that it has worked!

    A pleasant surprise after so many tech problems with other accounts this year.
