HELOC not entering correctly

My rate is variable, but that shouldn't matter. The program downloads whatever it is. The problem is that it adds to the balance, not subtracting my monthly payments. It does show up as a payment and amount which is the same, then it adds to the balance. I would understand if it showed as a charge, but it doesn't and isn't. So I have to do an Adjust Balance everything month which is a pain, but also not looking so great on a report print out. I did put it under "Property and Debt". Maybe that's the issue. Any thoughts?

    If you look at the Account's details, is the Account type "Liability" and the Balance number are red negative numbers?

    Is this a "downloading" Account?
