What version of Quicken Classic is this patch for?!
Regarding 'UPDATE 12/9/23 Unable to open data file/file password not working in Quicken for Windows', (Ticket# 10543348/CTP-7982), the 12/9 update says, in part:
<snip>
UPDATE 12/9/23
In an attempt to resolve this issue, we advise that you please follow the instructions below.
- Close Quicken
- Restart the system
- Don’t pause or do anything to OneDrive
- Install the patch (), go to the DISK1 folder, and run Setup.exe. That will launch an installer, which may prompt you to uninstall prior to running the installation.
- Open Quicken after the patch is installed. Quicken should open as expected.
- Close and re-open Quicken. Quicken should open as expected.
https://assistant.quicken.com/patch/QW27.1.53.24fullMPatch.EXE
</snip>
First of all, step 4 never occurs. The installer is invoked by the .EXE.
Secondly, what version is this supposed to be applied to? The name of the .EXE provides a hint that the new installed version will be QW27.1.53.24. My currently installed version information is:
Quicken Classic Deluxe
- version B63.19
- build 27.2.63.19
I am skeptical that the patch file should be applied over my current version.
Please advise.
Thank you!

The B designates a beta release which was offered briefly as a patch to general users. It has since been superseded by the version released this morning. Having just done it, I can verify the new update will install over your current beta version.

Followed the manual patch instructions for R53.26. All is well. Did not suspend syncing for OneDrive; just ran the installer. My file opened just fine and has done so, repeatedly, since the patch went in.
