Quicken Data Cleanup
I have spent a fair amount of time improving and optimizing my setup of Quicken, largely through the configuration and setup of the Business component.
I am now turning my attention to cleaning up the Quicken database (i.e., standardizing categories, memo entries, payee naming conventions, etc.).
The clean up process involves running reports, identifying items to cleanup, sometimes manually cleaning things up, sometimes using the search / replace capabilities, etc. The cleanup process is very monotonous and time consuming.
Wondering whether:
i) there is a better way to clean up the database; and
ii) there are any tools to cleanup teh database?
Thanks in advance.

Not really. Only thing I would note, in case you had not already noticed, is that a banking transaction report can also be another way to make bulk type changes via sorting and multi-selecting transactions.

My advice: make backups frequently before and during any clean up activities.

@mshiggins , agreed and noted.
I think I am going to abandon this project as the amount of time involved far exceeds the benefits, not to mention I have nearly 30 years of data to clean up.
I will focus on consistency from 2024 onwards.
The OCD part of me is not thrilled about this but so be it! :(
