I have Quicken 2016 and when i open app options/buttons are missing

I have Quicken 2016 and when i open app options/buttons are missing.

I dont want to use a newer version but i cant get it to work and only used it a handful of times when i bought it but it doesnt work.

I did Mondo update 19.5 but still have issues.

    It would help immensely to add some details here, like what options/buttons are missing and how do you know what's missing? Is this a situation where "they used to be there, but now they're not?" Same issue with the "doesn't work" comment. What's not working?

    Have you looked through Edit > Preferences… to see if something has changed in there? Many "options/buttons" can be changed in the Preferences section and, for reasons unknown, sometimes even updating a version can change a user's Preferences.
