Quicken 2017 Home and Business - create new account - can't enter any transactions (edit)

Created a new account and when I open it the check register does not load. I cannot enter any checks. HELP

    Are you getting downloads from ANY financial institution? Because Q2017 is so old that ALL downloads should have ended in 2020.

    OR are you saying that this isn't about downloads … but that the register in Q won't open?

    guessing you are entering everything manually ?

    SO - you did the Add Account and [x] the Offline box -
    and now when you click on the account the Register screen doesn't show ?
