Is it the whole reauthorization process or are you asked for a 2FA security code, to be sent to your cellphone, every day?
You are talking about a checking or savings account held at "American Express - Banking" and not a credit card, are you?

For my Savings account at American Express - Banking, I also received the 2FA code during OSU every day until I said "enough is enough" … in this account I only receive new transactions once a month, after the interest has been posted on the 28th.
So I have deselected American Express - Banking from my OSU Settings. Once a month, after the 28th, I run an "Update Now" from the account register, respond to the 2FA code and the new transaction is downloaded.
Saves me the trouble with the unnecessary 2FA prompts every day.1 -
Thanks, that will work although it's a band-aid. They need to fix it.

American Express National Bank, the organization behind "American Express - Banking", would have to work together with Intuit Inc. as the download service provider to come up with a secure solution sans 2FA codes. Perhaps a complaint sent to the office of their president might yield a result.
Until that happens, if ever, keep that band-aid handy.

I run into this with USAA because of how their login authentication is designed, but I hadn't considered having Quicken update the register only once per week to only have to deal with the MFA once.
