In Reconcile workspace, add button to hide/show marked items

Reconciling accounts with many transactions can require a lot of scrolling. It would be helpful to add a button to toggle on/off transactions that have been marked in the current reconcile session.

Until you get your wish, please be sure to reconcile the Reconcile Dialog vs the bank statement.
In other words, reconcile the dialog's transactions, top to bottom and then check them on the bank statement. Not the other way around. This reduces the amount of scrolling you have to do.

A "Hide marked transactions" option button, similar to the "Hide Accepted" button in the Downloaded Transactions tab sounds like a good idea to me.

Of course - I always reconcile to the bank statement. I sort by amount to make it easier to find (after years of doing it the hard way).

Your bank statement usually is sorted by transaction date. Sort the Reconcile dialog by Date, too, and reconcile top to bottom. You'll have less scrolling that way.

I would like a "hide cleared" check box in the reconciliation window that I can switch on/off to temporarily hide cleared items during reconciliation process. I do the recons manually with paper and my bank statement is ordered by date, so the credits and debits are intermingled. I sort quicken data by amounts (I wish credits and debits would sort separately, but that is another discussion). After I check the item I would like it to disappear until the hide box is unchecked, reducing the amount of entries that I have to look through.

    Hello @Mark Kothe,

I went ahead and merged your idea with this existing one.

    Thank you!
