Document Scanner

A mobile app with a document scanner would allow the user to quickly scan documents directly into Lifehub at the point of use. Otherwise the user is stuck scanning stacks of documents naming, sorting and dragging to the upload box in LifeHub.

Yeah. I've been scanning them with OneDrive on my phone, then once synced, dragging them into LifeHub on my computer. A mobile app with a scanner would be great.

    Hi there @Corrie and @thaJack,

Thanks for your feedback and I really do want to make this easier on many accounts (with things like a 'send to lifehub' email address, a mobile app, etc).

Do you mind sharing which platform you use? And, have you tried scanning documents with Apple's Notes app - is it an acceptable scanner?

We are working on this and I am very interested in your feedback.

    Thanks, kirby

I'm really disappointed that scanned documents/files pulled into LifeHub aren't sorted in the manner in which the file is named. Example… I file my electronic bank statements like this, 2025-07.12; 2025-08.11. It seems reasonable for the files to be sorted either numerically, or alphabetically. It's very time consuming going through every document to find what you're looking for. Please address this!

I personally use Scanner Pro by Readdle on my iPhone for scanning. But there must be hundreds of apps.

I suggest, at least for the iPhone ecosystem, tying into the “share” system ( blob:https://community.quicken.com/d01becf2-fe97-4082-8243-02aaf63a561a There was an error displaying this embed. ) to allow almost any scanner/photo or other app to send a document to QLH.

I’m not sure what the blob url is, it was an icon. Here’s another attempt at the share icon:

I have to use a separate app to scan a document to my local drive, then upload them to LifeHub.

I'd like to be able to initiate the scan from within LifeHub while adding a New Item, so that the scanned document goes straight into LifeHub vs. on my local machine first.

    Thanks!

    Hello @davidpsr,

I merged your idea with this existing one.

It sounded like you were describing the same thing.

    Thank you.
