Investment Prices

I am running Q Premier R54.16. When I attempt to update my security prices, Q is crashing. I have already run a repair of the pricing history to no affect.

It is presently 2:41pm. My last update is from 9:56am.

This isn't "chat". If you need to contact Quicken Support, you can do that here:

Note, that for a crash, other than maybe suggesting running Validate and Repair, there probably isn't much anyone here can suggest.

Are you asking for real-time quotes? That has been a problem some users. Try turning that option off. (Edit / Preferences / Investments).

    Real-Time Quotes was off.

Actually, now that I think more about this, I can suggest a couple of things.

One would be try creating a copy and see if it happens in it with:

File → Copy or Backup File → Create a copy or template

That will create a data file where the online services are deactivated, but you should still be able to try downloading quotes and see if it still crashes.

If it does, I would suspect it has something to do with a corrupted security. Running Validate and Repair is the only possible "easy fix" for it.

Trying it in a new data file might give some clues.

If this is recent then you can try going to a backup and maybe rolling back to an older version of Quicken to see if that is the problem.

You can get the old patch release installs from here:
