Filtered Register Total

When viewing an account register with a filter value entered, add a "Filtered Total" field at the bottom of the register, next to "Online Balance". This field would reflect the dollar total of the transactions resulting from a filter entry.

    When you apply a filter to an account, the sum of those transactions that are visible is in the Balance column,

    SO, I'd call your idea unnecessary, unless you can explain further.
