Fidelity Transaction Updates failing OL-220-A

Just started this AM. Regular One Step Update ran and says all accounts at Fidelity have failed with an OL-220-A error. Also shows the name of the financial institution as "Fidelity Investments - DC". I can't swear to it, but I don't remember it having "DC" in the name before this morning. I've tried resetting individual accounts - that works fine, no errors - but also no new transactions downloaded. I've tried the Add Account workflow, and that also runs successfully with no errors (and shows me all the expected accounts during the work flow, properly matched to their Quicken counterparts). I'm not seeing anything on the "Known Issues" announcements. Anyone else having this experience today? Or know of a potential solution? Thanks

When you do TOOLS, Account list … what shows in the "Transaction Download" and "Financial Institution" columns across from this/these accounts? If a column isn't shown, it can be added via the Options button at the bottom of the dialog.

And, I suspect that the "DC" stands for "Direct Connect" … and nothing more. Not the FI name.

I'm also noticing the "DC" was added today to the name. My download reports successful but I wonder if they're getting ready to transition to EWC+ (which I obviously don't want to do until they support more than "simple investing" using that).

Just confirming that even though the Fidelity Investments name had the "DC" added to the end, it is still working and downloading transactions for me. Seems to just been a cosmetic change to help differentiate it from the EWC+ version.

Thanks. Still failing for me. Agreed the "DC" likely means Direct Connect and is just a cosmetic change. I cannot say with certainty that the failures started for me at the same time the Financial Institution name changed.

@NotACPA my account list looks "normal" - shows Transaction Download is "Yes (Direct Connect)" and "Fidelity Investments - DC" as I expect.

I have 17 accounts that download from Fidelity, so trying to do things manually isn't an appealing option.

And account resets, or simulating adding a new account, both work fine - I get the dialog in Activate One Step Update where I can match downloaded accounts (all are there) to accounts in Quicken.

Called Fidelity's support line for Quicken. Agent was very nice, but not super knowledgeable. She did not have direct experience, and was just reading from a script provided by Quicken. She told me to deactivate and reactivate the accounts (all 17 of them). She said if that didn't work, I should just start a new Quicken file (good grief). I deactivated all accounts and reactivated - reactivation "worked" to a point. It added the account number to the proper spot in the Account details card and shows that the accounts are activated for Direct Connect, but it did throw a "something went wrong" error at the end of the flow.

I use the "show cash in a checking account" option for a number of my accounts - and I noticed that all the "main" accounts automatically updated to show "Fidelity Investments - DC" as the Financial Institution, yet all the linked checking accounts still just show "Fidelity Investments". Those linked checking accounts do not themselves update - but since Quicken relies on text matching in some places, I'm wondering if that FI name is the underlying problem - when QW does a OSE and gets the data payload, it's unable to process it correctly because the linked accounts show a different FI name?

I'd hoped that when I re-established the online connection it would automatically update the FI name in the linked checking account, but it did not.

I'm nervous to test this theory - I don't know what happens if you unselect the "show cash in a checking account" option - and if I'll lose transaction details (like memos, expense status, categories/tags, etc.). Does anyone know if you can safely toggle this back and forth without losing data?

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. I spent a long time disabling/enabling various combinations of my accounts at Fidelity to no avail. Finally left all my accounts (5 of 17) disabled/deactivated that use a separate checking account for cash. One Step Update still failed for all Fidelity accounts. Waited two days and "magically" the other 12 accounts stopped throwing an error during OSU and started working. With great trepidation I added back the other 5 and they worked fine. So in the end, appears to have been a transient server-side problem at either Fidelity or Quicken.
