desperate times call for desperate measures

and after creating new reports only to have the same "Everything Else" issue, I decided to create Excel spreadsheets to extract the important information from report downloads and skip over the elusive Everything Else

and in my mind I re-vision the ending of auga's poem posted on april 18th

    …..

I budget with care, I tally with pride—
Now “Everything Else” is off to the side.

Retired now but have been on both sides of the tech support world. One of the most infuriating things I've encountered is SILENCE. While I can appreciate delays for a multitude of reasons, there is no excuse for silence. While I hope it's not Quicken's intent, its comparable to extending the middle finger.

I just checked, and there's no mention of this problem in the "Quicken on the Web" version of Quicken. I searched the Quicken community and found nothing.

This leads me to wonder if the "Classic" users are second-class customers.

Anyway, the long wait (and SILENCE) does leave people to make-up their own rationale as to why this problem has been allowed to persist for so long. Maybe they think if they make things miserable enough for "Classic" users that we'll make a switch?

    Everything Else – Part II
    (Still Broken, Summer Edition)

Spring turned to summer, the bug stuck around—
A budget line ghosting the same haunted ground.
    "Everything Else" still proudly displayed,
As if I had planned for confusion and shade.

No fix, no rollback, no patch in the queue,
Just vague reassurances and “Thank you for you.”
We’ve toggled and filtered and offered our files—
And still it appears, with its mystery piles.

I budget for groceries, taxes, and rent,
But this budget includes things I never spent.
It sums up my sums, then calls that a line,
A subtotal of logic gone far out of line.

We’ve charted the bug, we’ve written support,
We’ve measured its quirks like a weather report.
Still the report prints with that spectral guest—
A row with no meaning, that won’t let us rest.

So here’s my reply to this long-standing jest:
"Everything Else" is doing its best—
To remind us that Quicken, for all it once meant,
Still needs a fix for where our budgets went.
