Single spreadsheet for all equities? (Q Mac)

I own many stocks and ETFs within in a number of brokerage and IRA accounts. To view them all I have to jump back-and-forth between different accounts. They have gotten quite spread out and it is hard to keep track of any duplicated equities in different accounts.

Does Quicken have the ability to display a single spreadsheet showing all of my stocks and ETFs, regardless of account, with their purchase and current values displayed?

I am running the latest version of Quicken Deluxe and the latest version of macOS.

Thank you for any help. If I’m not clear, please ask me any questions.

Yes, this is easy to do in the Portfolio window. Click on Investing in the left sidebar if you want to include all your retirement and non-retirement accounts. Click on the Portfolio tab. Set the first filter to Portfolio Value and set the second filter to By Security. This will now show all your securities, regardless of what account they are in. If you don't have the Cost Basis and Market Value columns visible, click on the columns icon in the upper right to add them.

(You mentioned spreadsheet, but I'm not sure if you actually want the data in an external spreadsheet. If you do, just click the ••• icon on the upper right and select Export > Export to CSV; any spreadsheet program will be able to open the CSV file.)

Thank you Jacobs. This is 90% of what I would like to see.

I am also looking to see if there is any way to display which accounts contain the securities? In other words, if I own for example Amazon shares in multiple accounts, can I see how much is contained each of those accounts?

Thank you again for all the help you have provided on this question and previous questions. Contain

Yes, but probably not in the exact way you'd want to see it. 😉

If you set your Portfolio filters to Portfolio Value and By Security, and make sure you have the Account column visible, it will show "Multiple" for any securities held in more than one account. You can click on the ">" icon to the left of the security name, and it will show all the lots of the security, with each lot showing which account it's in. If you click on the Account column heading, the Portfolio will sort by Account, so your Amazon holding would show all your purchases/reinvestments in Account A together, followed by Account B and so on — but there's no way to see a subtotal by Account; you'd have to add the shares or Market Value for the various lots manually. Or export to a spreadsheet, where you could pretty quickly set up subtotals by account.

Or you could set your Portfolio filters to Portfolio Value By Account, and click the "> icon to the left of each account. Export to a spreadsheet, and then you can sort by Security name or Symbol to pull together all holdings of a security across accounts.

But at this time, I can't think for a way to generate a report showing each security holding, with the makeup of each holding by account underneath.

I know the developers have stated they are planning to introduce investment reports at some unknown date, so perhaps this will be a possibility then.

Sorry for my delay in reply. This is very helpful, even though not perfect. Thanks again!
