Can't adjust Short Sale - Place Holder Adjustment to Negative (shareholder shares)

I'm having issues with to fix a short sale shares. Quicken wanted to create a placeholder but not sure why when correct.

Now I'm just trying to fix the balance - So on the short sale balance - should be negative but on the Adjust Share Balance screen it won't let me put a negative number for the short sale.

How to fix this?

    @BRETTB to resolve a placeholder transaction, you would need to adjust an existing transaction or create a new one. You cannot adjust the placeholder transaction directly. The adjusting transaction you adjust or create will offset the share balance of the placeholder. Once the placeholder transaction has a zero share balance, you can then delete it.
