Windows 10 Quicken Classic Checks Missing
Without warning, I was prompted to sign into Quicken upon start up. had to select data file. Numerous duplicated deposits, no checks since February 2025 in checking account.
Ally account, all entries missing since January, 2025.
Both accounts had been up to date to the day.
How can I fix, get the data back.
Backups seemed to have stopped in January 2025. Surprise.
How can I recover?

It's possible that you have more than one Quicken directory on your computer and the one you are accessing was orphaned back in January so that is what you are seeing. This can sometimes happen when uninstalling and then reinstalling the software or when doing a version update.
If this is what happened, then you should be able to locate the correct data file on your local drive by going to File > Find Quicken Files. Quicken will search your local drive for all primary and backup Quicken data files. Review the list of files that are identified in the search results and see if one of them has most recent date that you are looking for. Then try opening that file and see if that has the data you are wanting to see.
