Quicken R63.21 build 27.1.63.21 Windows 10 Enterprise.

the setting for tracking method on a few of my investment accounts mysteriously switched from complete to simple. The choice box is grayed out so I can not change back. My display for these accounts are in simple mode. I can not see any transactional data. Any suggestions on how to correct this ?

  • @tbf47 what financial institutions are these investment accounts? Did this change happen after an OSU?

Try restiring a backup. Then be sure the global preference is set to complete investing and not simple before doing another osu.

    follow up questions,

after using this for decades, why would this have spontaneously changed? I for sure did not change it.

I have issues now with missing transactions and or transactions that are not cleared. How can I sync these accounts with the host institution?

  • @tbf47 if you restored a backup to resolve this issue, then you should be able to do an update to get your accounts back in sync again. Otherwise, the only other option is to manually update the missing transactions or manually reconcile to get the accounts back into sync.

As to why this happened, I don't have an answer for that, but I have had this happen to some of my investment accounts, but it was a while ago.
