False New Security & Matching Security Pop Up
This morning there's a new One Step Update error for Schwab and Fidelity accounts in two of my data files. I've never seen it before. The account shows a red flag but there are no new transactions. Then the Matching Security window pops up with a new security, If I accept it, it pops up another. The list is endless. I have to click Cancel twice to get out of it. If I change accounts the flag remains. If I return to the account, the Matching Security window returns too.

@Ray Which Q product, and what Release of that product are you running? This info is at HELP, About Quicken.
Also, I don't have Schwab accounts, but I have several at Fidelity Investments and I'm not seeing what you've described. When you do TOOLS, Account List, what name for Fidelity appears in the "Financial Institution" column across from the Fidelity accounts?
Have you tried Validating your Q data files? As what you're describing could be result of corrupted data.

I'm using Quicken Business & Personal version R63.21 Build 27.1.63.21. Schwab updated correctly. My managed account at Fidelity shows 45 trades on 7/23 to rebalance my account. My wife's account shows 60 trades. In both data files, Quicken shows the red download flags. There aren't any transactions downloaded. I validated the file: QEL: No read errors. QEL: All internal consistency checks passed.
Quicken support had me do several things without success. The last was to create a new data file "Test." We use File > File Export > Quicken Transfer Format (QXF) and import my data. Setting up my wife's account for OSU found the 3 Fidelity accounts but only activated my wife's. This is abnormal.
In the Account Details > Online Services tab, we changed the Automatic entry to On. It then downloaded the new transactions but about 1/3 were "Unidentified Security 1." I called Fidelity about why Quicken couldn't get the security names and symbols they show on their website's activity. They said to call Quicken.
When I turn off the Automatic entry, all but one of the downloaded transactions vanished. This is super weird as this is a new file. I've wasted several hours on this issue. I'll wait until tomorrow as they may fix the issue.
Support opened a Ticket for me and sent me this link to an existing ticket.

Didn't answer WHICH Fidelity name. They have several in Q.
Also, which download method (Direct Connect, etc) are you using with Q.

Add Account lists two Fidelity institutions: "Fidelity NetBenefits" and "Fidelity Investments - DC". Our pension plans were administered with separate Fidelity accounts, but I didn't need them in Quicken. When I added investment accounts, Quicken used "Fidelity Investments - DC" with a connection method of Direct Connect That's probably what the DC suffix means.
A 6/30 email from Quicken said they are updating Fidelity to "a more secure protocol" and would let us know within 30 days. It'll probably be Express Web Connect+ but I haven't received any notification.
Yesterday, I worked with Quicken support again on my Test account. The Fidelity website confirmed the unusually large number of transactions; 40 on my account and 60 on my wife's. Support had me do a lot of things including resetting the connection. None of the changes did anything. We then decided to accept all the new securities presented by Matching Security. When we reached the last one, all transaction were added to the register at once. At no time were any transactions shown in the download window. The support tech was baffled.
He created a case number, said he'd escalate the issues, and phone me when he had an answer such as a patch.
I think Quicken is changing to the new connection method.

I called support for status on Fidelity. It's still open, pending investigation and support said it can take 2 or 3 weeks for resolution. I decide to try updating both of my data files. If it failed, I'd restore the files from my backups and disable Fidelity updates until the fix them.
Interestingly, when I opened each file, the downloaded transactions were visible. I started accepting each. Most popped up the Matching Security but falsely mismatched many to a similar security name but the wrong symbol. I forced these to create a new security. After finishing accepting, the account totals matched but 2 or 3 transactions had were called "unidentified security." Looking at my transaction file downloaded from Fidelity, I renamed each to the correct security.
I ran OSU and all appears be ok in both data files. This has been the weirdest experience with Quicken. Hopefully, OSU will continue to work with the exception of the 5-week old issues with Citibank.

This morning 7/28, I updated both data files. In the OSU Summary, all account are updated as of 7/27 except for Fidelity that has a date of 7/25. Interestingly, the Account List says all accounts, including Fidelity were Last Downloaded 7/28. The OSU date is probably the latest date the finance data was available. The Account List is the date it was accessed and downloaded. On the Fidelity website, the latest transactions were 7/24 in my account and 7/23 in my wife's.
