Why is my Quicken Classic for Mac loading so slow?

My Quicken Classic for Mac is loading and running slow. I did all of the suggestions and also I have a new iMac computer, still poor performance . It was suggested on Apple Support Community to use EtreCheckPro to analyze my system. I researched this product and found conflicting reports as to whether it is safe to use on my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions to get my Quicken to perform as normal?

You said you did "all the suggestions", but I'm not sure what that includes. The most common reason people find Quicken Mac behaving slowly is because they unknowingly have one or more report and/or register windows open but ouot-of-view behind the main window. Pull down the Window menu in Quicken, and look at the bottom; the last item in the menu should be Sync Errors (grayed out). If there is anything beneath Sync Errors, those are open windows which Quicken needs time to refresh after every action you take in the program. Closing them brings you right back to the snappy Quicken Mac you're used to.

The only other question I'd ask is the location of your Quicken data file. If it is stored on/synced to a cloud service (iCloud, DropBox, OneDrive, etc.), that can result in a host of problems, including slow performance.

I am not aware of any other issue which has been reported here which causes Quicken Mac to run slowly.
