I mistakenly used a placeholder on one of my accounts, How do I reverse it?

    A Placeholder forces your share share count in Quicken to match the shares reported by your broker for that security.

    When you correct whatever caused the discrepancy, the Placeholder will automatically change to zero shares. At that point you should delete the Placeholder.
