Quicken Classic using older files
I have been using quicken 2013 for (well since it came out) and now that I've upgrade to Win 11, it no longer works. It worked for awhile but after an update it doesn't anymore. Tried uninstalling the update, reinstalling quicken 2013 and many combinations of both to no avail.
Thant being said, I've decide I've no choice but to upgrade to one of the newer subscription version. I'd rather work off line and I understand the Classic version can do that, but will it read the 2013 .qdf files?
Thanx

If you are happy with Quicken 2013 Deluxe, try the install for it on this web page:

Thanx for the reply. I have download from this web site several times. Uninstalled, reinstalled, shutdown between uninstalled and reinstalled and still it falls to work.
Attached is the error I'm getting. I have searched the Register for any mention of "C:\WINDOWS|winsxs\Fusion" and there's nothing anywhere in there. Not sure why something would be listed under "Fusion" directory thast directory exists all the way to the subdirectory "\9.0.21022.8\" but no file "mfc90.dll".
I have no idea what's going on.

If my memory serves me right on the error message, I think you may have an antivirus or anti-spyware program that is preventing a component of Quicken getting installed properly. Please disable all such programs and make another attempt to fully reinstall Quicken, reboot and see if that resolves it. Then you can re-enable your programs.
Adding - Here is a similar post that points to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable:

Posted a reply a few days ago, but it has disappeared into the either!
Tried all you suggested and nothing has worked. downloaded Visual Studio and all the Redistributables as well as disabling the virus protection al to no avail.
Unless someone has some ideas, I think my only recourse is Quicken Classic. Will it read the 2013 files, .QDFs?

If you do decide to upgrade to the latest Quicken Classic Deluxe program … yes, it will read and convert the 2013 - version's data files. Just be sure to have your QDF files in a \Documents\Quicken subfolder which is NOT processed by MS OneDrive, Dropbox or any other cloud backup software. However, it's OK to set up the manual backup files created when you close Quicken and store them in a folder controlled by OneDrive, etc.

@Blackwatch42 , I suggest that you search for your error message (and the dll) within this community as there are few reports and variations of it; and also research it online to see if you find a solution. Although I recall seeing this error reported long time ago, it might have been an old post prior to Quicken upgrading to this new community. Sorry I could not help.

BK: Thanx for trying. I've searched on line and posted here hoping to find something, but alas in vain, apparently.
URK: Also thanx for the info. Looks like Classic is what it go'na be. I need to catchup on my accounting before I get to far behind.
