Quicken Classic Deluxe connected to your bank: date range of downloads.

Have used Quicken and QBD for decades but, in my retirement, I am digging further into QCD. In reading a Quicken guide I bought the kids last year to help with their finances, I see that when connecting your accounts, checking, savings, et. al., the bank typically downloads about 90 days worth of entries. I run a pretty tight set of books and don't need that much over watch, unless I'm misinterpreting that passage's intent. It's possible that the statement was meant for a new Quicken Classic install and set up. I was hoping that I'd be able to set a date range if I pursued that feature.

To be honest, I'm not that keen to log all our accounts, investments, etc. I can manage them just fine. Was just curious and that was the first issue that gave me pause.

Thanks in advance!
Be well

The duration of any download, originated from within Q, is determined by the bank, not Q.

The first download is, typically, 90 days … but may be less as decided by the bank.

Subsequent downloads will be SINCE the prior download, up to the limit decided by the bank.

Unless you initiate the download directly from the bank's website, there's no way to determine the duration.

And, if you look into Q HELP, for "Scheduled Updates", you can find a way to automate the entire download process for any bank/card/etc that provides updates. Mine happen automatically at 7am, Mon-Sat.
