Jump to Transactions view from a transaction in Spending tab?

On the Spending tab, below the pie chart is a list of transactions that match the category in focus in the chart. If you notice something you'd like to change in one of those transactions, you can edit it right there in that transaction list. (Double-click, or Edit transaction from the context menu.)

I've been wondering if it's possible to jump into the Transaction view from a highlighted transaction in the Spending view - to go to the transaction in its overall context in the transaction list. If I'm going to be modifying a transaction, I'd feel more comfortable editing it in the full list, rather than in Spending tab, to see the surrounding transactions that might conceivably shed some light on the selected transaction, before editing it.

I've looked in the context menu (right-click menu) to see if something is there. I found a roundabout way - pick one of the reports (on payee or category), then in the report double-click the transaction to jump to the Transaction register. While that gets you to the right transaction register (in a new window), you'd need to locate the transaction in the list, so this is not exactly what I'm looking for.

If this doesn't exist, I can add it as a requested feature. Not sure I've found the best place to do that, because what I saw looked like posted feature requests get very few votes.

Not sure if this will help… if you click the word 'spending' in blue just above/left of the pie chart, it will jump you back to the top level spending view with the highlighted transaction still highlighted. This shows you that transaction in the context of all spending, but not in the context that includes income.

An excellent observation. Yes, it is illuminating, and seeing how much you're spending is always helpful (and depressing). Not exactly the feature I'm hoping for, but a good one. Thanks.
