Why Does Community access ask for password

When I click on the Quicken Community link in the Quick help menu, I am asked for a password. I entered the password each time and then discovered if I close the password request window without entering a password, the community screen appears. It's not that big a deal I suppose, just closing the password request window but this process just started a week ago. Is there some way to stop that window from appearing?

It asks so that you can be logged into the webpage. When you do the bypass, are you actually logged into the webpage or just viewing it as a non-signed in guest?

I don't know what I have done to my setup, but Help→ Quicken Community starts Chrome and opens the Community website and I am logged in automatically.

Splasher: When I by pass, I am able to start a new post without signing in. In the past Help-Quicken Community also started Chrome and I was logged in automatically. Guess I will just continue the by pass. Strange though.

    Thanks for reply

UPDATE: after posting this answer to your question, I did some more research and this did the trick:

    1. Make sure you’re signed into Quicken with your Quicken ID

    • Go to Edit → Preferences → Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts.
    • Check if you’re already logged in. If you’re logged out, Quicken may be prompting for credentials before accessing certain web-linked features.
    • Log in there once, then restart Quicken and try again. That usually stops redundant prompts.
