Why have there been so many problems with updating my accounts with Chase credit cards?

I have been a Quicken user for over 30 years. Until this year I have had very few problems. I have had many problems with updating my Chase credit card accounts. Prior months in my register were fine and then when I update my account, there are duplicates and missing transactions. What is the reason for this?

It's difficult to know exactly what the problem is but if downloads from Chase have worked fine up until recently my guess - and that's all it is - would be some sort of data file corruption.

I did a search on the Homepage for "Chase" covering a period of about two and a half months and didn't see a bunch of problems being reported similar to yours, which suggests the problem is "local," and that problem might be corruption of the data file.

If you haven't already you might try making a backup of the file and then doing a "Validation & Repair" on that data file

I too have used Quicken for many years and all of a sudden none of my Chase accounts will update. I have to manually go to their website and download daily. I've tried removing downloading, adding back in using the + mark, adding back in using the cog - sign on, signing off and back into my account, and the validation and repair. Nothing has helped.

It's been my experience that EWC+ is unreliable and randomly just stops downloading. Chase and Amex seem to be the most problematic (sometimes Citi). I've had repeated instances where Quicken just will stop downloading from CERTAIN accounts (ie, I have 5 Amex and 6 Chase credit cards, and one or two will not download, and the rest will). NO errors ever get reported by OSU, which makes it fun to figure out when it broke. The ONLY solution I've found so far is to deactivate ALL the accounts (ie: Go into the 5 Amex cards, and deactivate the online stuff). Then click the + to "re-add" and re-authorize and then usually it'll work.

ONCE I had to go into the chase website and UNCHECK all the boxes for authorization, save, and go back into the Chase website and re-check all the boxes and then save and then do the Quicken stuff.
